The Ubud Highlights Tour: Barong Dance – Monkey Forest – Rice Terrace is designed for cultural tour lover, who really want to deeply learn Balinese culture, architecture and their way of life.
The tour started with Barong Dance performance, a well-known dance in Bali that perform the battle between a good and an evil spirit.
The next destination is Celuk Village, a very well-known place for its crafts in gold and silver. It is the center of Goldsmith and Silversmith.
After exploring Celuk Village, your guide will bring you to Batuan Temple, a beautiful temple full of Balinese ornaments which are also considered as the oldest temple in Bali.
Then you will visit Monkey Forest in Ubud, which will bring the first highlight to our trip through a habitat of hundreds of long-tailed monkeys. This nature reserve named Ubud Monkey Forest also becomes a home for hundreds of different species of plants. Interestingly, you will also find a sacred Balinese temple amongst this tranquil natural forested park.
The next spot is Tegallalang rice terrace, it is one of the most beautiful terraced rice fields in Bali located short drive from Ubud. It is a well maintained, have plenty of great vantage points and are easily photographed and explored by the visitor because located just beside the main road from Kintamani to Ubud.
The last destination is Goa Gajah or Elephant Cave. This temple is characterized by menacing faces that are carved into the stone. This an old temple from the 11th century that has been built as a place for spiritual meditation.
